Gajrela (Carrot Pudding)

This is a really tasty pudding, made with combination of carrot and powdered milk. Best dessert to serve in winter season

Ingredients

  • Milk 1 kg
  • Fresh carrot 2 (shredded)
  • Rice 1/2 cup (lightly blended)
  • Powdered milk/khoya 1/2 cup
  • Sugar 4 tbsp or to taste
  • Cardamom powder 1 tsp
  • Kewra water 1 tsp
  • Silver paper 4-5
  • Pistachio and almonds for garnish

Cooking Directions

  1. Put together milk, fresh carrot, rice, powdered milk and cardamom powder in a large cooking pan and cook it. Stir the spoon.
  2. When it gets thick add sugar and kewra essance (adjust sweetener) and cook while stirring for 5-8 minutes.
  3. Take out in a bowl, garnish with pistachio, almonds and silver paper.
